  1. These can make wonderful 1 minute commercials to counter the incessant lighting up of every inch of land and sky. Birds are disturbed by nightlight for a fact. Birdnests can conflict with outdoor motion sensor lighting. An led headlamp mistakenly tilted toward a tree at night will frighten sleeping birds into flying off.

    I recently presented 70 slides at a Kern County planning meeting to make them visually aware of the loss of night sky due to amber street lights installed in Tehachapi and freeway lighting, dawn smog, evening smog and magenta night glare, night glare from shining lights into the sky from billboards, windfarm strobe glare and city lights from other counties.

    I am losing my magnificant night sky and it is my main motivator night after night.
